What do polar bears dream about? One can only imagine what this polar bear cub could be cooing and cawing about in her dreams at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium recently.
The 5-week-old polar bear cub was captured snoozing on video by zookeepers who have been caring for the 4-pound youngster. The video was recently posted to the zoo’s Facebook page.
The cub’s eyes had reportedly just begun to open at the time of the video.
“The care staff says the sound that she makes in the video is of contentment,” the post stated. “Her motor skills are improving each day and she has started trying to stand up on all fours, especially when she’s ready for her next meal!”
Until she’s older, the care staff will continue working around the clock with feedings six times per day every four hours.
