Check Out This Beautiful Albino Deer

If a black cat crossing your path is good luck then an albino deer cutting across the road in front of you has to be good luck, right? That’s the hope anyway for one Minnesota visitor who spotted this gorgeous albino deer.

Although extremely rare, another albino deer was spotted earlier this year in Tennessee.

Albinism occurs is almost all species of animals, usually caused by a genetic defect. In deer the condition is considered hereditary, occurring in one out of 20,000 to 100,000 births.

Although not technically albino, a collection of white deer have been living on the Seneca Army Depot in Washington State since the 1940s.
